Privacy Policy

Tüvron is CCTV drainage inspection and reporting software for plumbers, drain specialists and pipe-relining contractors. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers our marketing website, the Tüvron web app, and the reports we help you share with your clients.

Tüvron is built and operated from Australia, and we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you access Tüvron from outside Australia, note that your information is processed by us and our providers as described below.

Who we are

In this policy, “Tüvron”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Tüvron service. You can reach us any time at hello@tuvron.com — this is also our contact point for any privacy question, request or complaint.

Your data is yours — and who is responsible for it

The footage, observations, reports and client details you create in Tüvron belong to your business. We hold and process them to provide the service to you, on your instructions.

For information about your own clients(for example a property owner’s name or a site address you enter), your business is responsible for having the right to collect and share it — you are the data controller and Tüvron acts as your processor. You are responsible for what you capture on site and for the reports you choose to send.

Information we collect

Account and business information

• Account details — your email address and name, your role (owner, admin or technician), and sign-in information. You can sign in with a password or with Google; if you use Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google to create your session.
• Business profile — your company name, contact email, business address and logo, used to brand your reports.
• Website import (optional, during setup)— if you ask Tüvron to pre-fill your business details from your website, we fetch and process public text and images from the URL you provide (see “How we use AI” below).

Inspection and report content

• Footage and media — the CCTV video you upload, plus still frames captured from it and any captions you add.
• Inspection records — site address, client name, inspector name, reference numbers, dates and notes.
• Observations and repairs — defect types, chainage/distance readings, video timestamps, severity grades, bounding boxes you draw, and any repair, material and cost calculations.

Usage information

• Product events — we record first-party events about how the service is used (for example account creation, a report being generated or viewed) to operate, secure and improve Tüvron. This is our own internal analytics, not a third-party tracker.
• Report view counts — when a shared report is opened, we count the view. To avoid over-counting we generate a one-way (non-reversible) fingerprint of the request; we do not store the raw identifiers behind it.

How we use AI

Some Tüvron features use artificial intelligence to speed up your work. These features are assistive — a technician always confirms the result — and several are optional or off until enabled for your account. When a feature is active, here is what is sent and to whom:

• Counter auto-read — to read the burned-in distance counter, we send small cropped images of the counter area from a paused frame to an AI vision provider, which returns the digits.
• Defect suggestions — when you mark a point in a video, we send a few frames from around that moment to an AI provider, which suggests a defect type and severity for you to accept, correct or reject.
• Website import — if you use it, we send sanitised text excerpts from your business website to an AI provider to pick out your business name and contact details.

These features are powered by reputable third-party AI providers. They process the content only to return a result to us and, under the business/API terms we use, do not use your content to train their own models. All AI processing happens server-side — credentials are never exposed in your browser.

Improving Tüvron’s own models

When a technician confirms or corrects an AI suggestion, we may retain that labelled example — such as a frame crop, a bounding box, a confirmed defect type or a counter reading — to evaluate and improve Tüvron’s own detection and reading models. This helps the product get more accurate over time. Your inspection data stays within your account for service purposes; if you would prefer your confirmed data not be used to improve our models, contact us at hello@tuvron.com.

Sharing reports

When you share a report, Tüvron creates a private link containing a long, randomly generated token. Anyone who has the link can view that report without signing in, so share it only with the people who should see it. A shared report can include your business branding and the inspection’s site address, client name, inspector name, reference number, observations, captured footage frames and any cost information.

You control these links: you can list them, set them to expire, and revoke them at any time from the inspection in the app. Revoking a link stops it working.

Who else processes your data (our providers)

We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run the service. They process your data on our behalf and only to provide their function, under contractual terms that protect it. They fall into these categories:

• Cloud infrastructure — hosting, database, authentication and file storage.
• Video processing — upload, encoding and playback of your footage.
• Mapping — address search and autocomplete.
• AI providers — the assistive features described above, where enabled.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing. If your business needs the specific list of providers we use — for example for your own compliance — email hello@tuvron.com and we will provide it.

Where your data is processed

Our primary database and file storage are hosted in the United States, and the providers listed above may process your data in the United States and other countries. By using Tüvron you acknowledge that your information — including inspection footage and report content — is stored and processed overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect your information to a standard consistent with this policy and applicable law.

Cookies, analytics and marketing

The Tüvron app uses cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep your session secure. We use our own first-party product events (described above) to understand and improve the service.

We may also use third-party analytics and advertising technologies — such as cookies and pixels from advertising and social media platforms — on our marketing website to measure campaigns and understand how visitors find us. Where these are active and where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent and provide a way to manage your choices. As at the date above, no such third-party advertising or analytics pixels are running on our marketing website.

How long we keep your data

We keep your account and inspection data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep certain records to meet legal, tax or security obligations.

How we protect your data

We use encryption in transit, access controls and tenant isolation so that each business can only access its own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and we restrict staff access to what is needed to run and support the service.

Your rights and choices

You can access and update most of your information directly in the app. You also have the right to ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to make a privacy complaint. To exercise any of these, email hello@tuvron.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Children

Tüvron is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves — for example when we add a new feature or provider. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
